    I write in connection with counsel for the Claimant’s letter of February 2, 2005, requesting an extension for the filing of its Memorial on the Merits in the above case and the United Mexican States’ letter of February 3, 2005, indicating that the Respondent would not oppose to such request.

    The President of the Tribunal has asked me to inform you that, in light of the parties' agreement, the request is granted. The Claimant shall therefore file its Memorial on the Merits by March 17, 2005. In light of this change, the schedule agreed upon on September 16, 2004 is amended as follows:

    - The Respondent should file its Counter-Memorial on the Merits no later than August 15, 2005;

    - The Claimant should file its Reply on the Merits no later than September 26, 2005; and

    - The Respondent should file its Rejoinder on the Merits no later than November 7, 2005.
