Integration of remote working into arbitral practice after the COVID-19 pandemic

371.

During Alexis Mourre's chairmanship, the ICC Court has undergone many changes. In particular, it has become more transparent, been the leader in the changes made towards more efficiency and served as a role model in reinforcing diversity, all of the issues that have been addressed in the preceding chapters.

When at the beginning of 2020 the COVID-19 pandemic hit, the ICC Court under Alexis Mourre's presidency took immediate action, adapted the Court's and the Secretariat's working practices to the new virtual reality and provided its users with valuable guidance.

The role of ICC will also be very important in the post-COVID era in (re)creating best practices for a new hybrid which will integrate the remote way of working into arbitration practice rather than simply going back to the ‘ancien régime'.
